
Luigi INGALISO
Luigi Ingaliso is Associate Professor of History of Science at the Department of Humanities of the University of Catania, where he teaches History of Science in the Philosophical Sciences Master’s Degree course. He was a member of the scientific board of the Ph.D. course in Cultural heritage studies of the University of Catania and he has been part of national research projects (PRIN) funded by the Ministry of Education, University and Research, and research projects funded by University of Catania. His research focused on the history of philosophy and science during the modern age, in particular on scientific tradition of the Jesuits and scientific revolution in 17th century (medicine, dynamics, astronomy and military architecture). He is now working on the evolution of paradigms in the field of geosciences and medical knowledge in the modern and contemporary age.
