
Salvatore MENZA
PhD in Modern Philology, qualified (since 12 December 2023) for the full professor position in the field GLOT‑01/A, he was the Unit Leader of the PRIN 2022 PNRR project "Contact-induced change and sociolinguistics: an experimental study on the Gallo-Italic dialects of Sicily". He has published monographs and contributions in the fields of lexicography and language teaching, theoretical linguistics—with particular reference to syntactic categories and the syntax-phonology interface—and interlinguistics, focusing especially on microcontact in the Gallo-Italic colonies.
He is a member of the Scientific Council of the Center for Sicilian Philological and Linguistic Studies. He translated into catanese the comic "Paperone e il PDP 6000" (Topolino, n. 3608).
