Expected Learning Outcomes

According to the Dublin descriptors, students, at the end of the course, will demonstrate:

1. Knowledge and understanding

Acquisition of the knowledge necessary understanding the Musical Heritage as an essential component of Cultural Heritage

2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding

Ability to read and analyze the role of music in the context of European artistic and cultural History and in the contemporary cultural landscape

3. Autonomy of judgment

Ability to integrate knowledge and handle complexity

4. Communication skills

Ability to communicate their conclusions, and knowledge and rationale under pinning these, to specialist and non specialist audiences clearly and unambiguously

5. Learning skill

Development of learning skills that are necessary to undertake further study with a high degree of autonomy

Detailed Course Content

The first part of the course will be devoted to discussion of concept of Musical Heritage. In the second part of the course concrete examples of concert events, films on the theme of music and theatrical performances will be analyzed.
