Expected Learning Outcomes
According to the Dublin
descriptors, students, at the end of the course, will demonstrate:
1. Knowledge and understanding
The knowledge of the social processes of contemporary
society, the knowledge of the main digital research techniques, the understanding
of the technological and communicative elements of the internet
2. Applying knowledge and understanding
The conscious use of digital technologies, the ability
to identify the social processes involved in collective dynamics.
3. Making judgment
The ability to critically reflect on the social
consequences of digital technologies, the identification of the limits and
opportunities of digital social processes.
4. Communication skills
The ability to use digital technologies, the writing
skills in digital spaces
5. Learning skills
The understanding of the socio-technical functioning
of digital platforms, the ability to collect reliable information through the
internet
Course Structure
The course takes place essentially in the form of lecture
structured in three different modules (general characteristics, research
methods, case study analysis), with extensive use of tools for student
involvement: questions for the verification of concepts, collective discussion
of crucial cases, digital tools for involvement and participation
Attendance of Lessons
Compulsory attendance.
