Alessandro Di Costa graduated in Arts & Humanities at the University of Catania, discussing a thesis on intermediality in the cinema of Ingmar Bergman, and in Communication of Culture and Performing Arts, with a thesis on the Work of Derek Jarman. He is author of the book Caravaggio secondo Jarman (Duetredue, 2023). Since March 2022, he has been a member of the editorial board of «Arabeschi. International Review of Literature and Visual Studies». He was part of the Classics Jury at the 79th Venice International Film Festival. He is currently a PhD student in Sciences of Cultural Heritage and Production at the University of Catania with a research project on the set archaeology of Giuseppe Tornatore.
