Emanuela CAMPISI

Associate Professor of Philosophy and theory of language [PHIL-04/B]

Emanuela Campisi is associate professor in Philosophy and Theory of Language (Phil/04-B) at the Department of Humanities of the University of Catania. After her graduate studies, she has conducted postdoctoral work at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics (Nijmegen, NL), the Radboud University Nijmegen e the Humanities Laboratory of the University of Lund (Sweden).

Her main interests concern the pragmatic aspects of spontaneous interaction, investigated both theoretically – with the method of philosophy of language – and with applied research. She has published papers in international academic journals (e.g. Journal of Pragmatics; Philosophical Psychology), and her first monograph has recently been issued in Italian (Che cos’è la gestualità, Carocci 2018).
