Expected Learning Outcomes

1) Knowledge and understanding

Students will acquire the general methods for collecting linguistic data and on the related types of coding, processing, and analysis. Specialized knowledge of electronic dictionaries and on-line lexical databases will also be provided.

2) Ability to apply knowledge and understanding

Students must be able to design digital objects, portals and collections of online content and, in the simplest cases, to develop the platforms using the most popular web technologies.

3) Autonomy of judgment

Students must be able to know, distinguish and evaluate the main types of digital resources for the humanities, recognizing their aims and technical features.

4) Communication skillsStudents will have to acquire a specialized and rigorous language to describe and design the digital solutions covered by the course and to interact adequately with other highly skilled professionals.

5) Learning skills

Students, starting from the indications of the course, must be able to continue to develop and update the knowledge acquired in the dynamic and ever-changing context of the web.
