Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Corporate Communication
The project aims to develop analysis tools based on Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing techniques that make it possible to verify to what extent the communication of a given company is in line with the SDGs defined by the UN. To be specific, the aim is to extract information from textual corpora of company reports or communication on social media, in Italian, in order to identify the issues relating to the various SDGs and the data relating to the individual indicators. Given the lack of a universal standard for corporate sustainability reporting, the automation of the information extraction from natural language texts into easily computable formats will facilitate the monitoring of corporate impact.
