Abstract
Within the ontological and metaphysical contemporary debate on the status of time is inserted the work of Alberto Giovanni Biuso, who proposes a radical thought against any form of physicalism and reductionism, a thought founded on a philosophical re-emergence of time at the center of a materialistic metaphysics. Thereby, metaphysics and materialism are not opposite philosophical devices, but are two ways in which being and time are ontologically disclosed as identity and difference. This theoretical paradigm, therefore, qualifies most definitions of time as partial and invalidating. Partial because they do not include the simultaneous totality which being and time are; invalidating due to the absence of a phenomenological facticity in which every scientific theory should be rooted. In this way, categorical dualisms such as time-temporality and mind-body are philosophically obsolete. Biuso instead melts the fundamental concepts of philosophy in a relationship of deep identity that always happens as difference.
