Expected Learning Outcomes

According to the Dublin descriptors, students, at the end of the course, will be able: Develop communication skills by using integrated methods corresponding to the B1/ B2 levels of the Common European Framework through the use of realia (paper, audio, video).

Introduce and analyze the different types of text for a presentation of progressive specificity of the discourse and the main theories of translation in order to develop an awareness on the practice of translation with the help of contrastive approaches.

Course Structure

First semester: module A (A2 to B1)

Second semester : module A, B, C.

A -Phonetics, morphosyntax, the study of the Main irregular verbs and regular verbs, Tutorials receptive and productive skills (written and oral) of different types in order to reach the B1/ B2 level.

B -Considerations on the translation: theories and practices through contrastive examples and exercises of graded difficulty
