Expected Learning Outcomes

Understanding of the relations of proximity and cultural distance, organized dialectically, between European literatures in the given period, with regard to the placement of opera in the literary panorama; relations between  lyrics and modernity; geography of cultures and transformations over time, that is diachrony-synchronicity-spatial connection and cultural substrates.

Course Structure

The evaluation takes place with an oral exam. It will take into account the mastery of the topics, the acquisition of an expository method, the degree of problematicity that the student will prove to have acquired. On average, three main questions and some insights will be asked.

Required Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of the movements and tendencies of European literature of the last few centuries. Ability to organize moderately complex speeches.
