Music Pedagogy and Didactics of Music

The course will provide a set of analyses and theoretical reflections about objects, languages and methods of Music Pedagogy and Didactics of Music.
1.      Knowledge and understanding
Students attending the course will be able to know the model of school Music Education based on the comprehension of music as culture;
2.      Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
They will be able to express considerations on the relationships of Music Pedagogy with Education Sciences and Musicology;
3.      Autonomy of judgment
They will develop the ability to read critical objects, by making inter-textual and inter-contextual comparisons;
4.      Communication skills
They will be able to use the specialized lexicon, proper of the studies in this area;
5.      Learning skill
They will be able to earn the basics of Didactics of Music and know how to apply them in school programming.

The course introduces the student to the basics of Music Pedagogy and Didactics of Music and it consists of two different modules: the first A (3 ECTS) is theoretical and methodological; the second B (3 ECTS) is based on teaching practices.
