Expected Learning Outcomes

1) Knowledge and understanding

Through the analysis of texts, students will have to develop and apply original ideas.

2) Ability to apply knowledge and understanding

Students must demonstrate that they have acquired an analysis method that allows comparative analysis of different cultural systems; they must be able to understand the differences in time and space.

3) Autonomy of judgment

Integrate knowledge and manage the complexity of cultural phenomena, formulate judgments starting from a method even if in possession of incomplete data.

4) Communication skills

Students must acquire a wealth of metaliterary language and must be able to present the inferred ideas through documents in an exhaustive and mature way.

5) Learning skills

Study in a largely self-managed and autonomous way, managing to link all the documents provided in order to manage them with awareness

Required Prerequisites

Students must have the methodological tools for the analysis of literary texts and have a general knowledge of the most recent literary critical-methodological approaches

Attendance of Lessons

Lessons will be held in person. Attendance is not compulsory

Detailed Course Content

The course is divided into two sections:

[A] Fundamentals: the concept of Romance culture and visual culture

[B] Case study: the language of Eros between Middle Ages and Modern.

Students are invited, for the oral presentation, to choose a reading of your choice (novel and / or lyric collection), similar to the topic dealt with, to be exposed to the oral exam.

Learning Assessment

Learning Assessment Procedures

The written test consists of a multiple choice test on part [A]; 30 questions will be given. Each correct answer will be awarded 1 point, while each incorrect answer will be awarded 0. This written test is optional.

The assessment of the exam will take into account the mastery of the contents and skills acquired, linguistic accuracy and lexical properties, as well as the argumentative ability demonstrated by the candidate. The test consists of an interview that will take into account the written test, but which does not therefore limit the exposition capacity of the candidates. questions will be asked and the overall assessment will take into account the above requirements
