Expected Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course the
students:
1) Know and understand the French
linguistic and lexical structures (B2 CEFR)
2) Understand and analyze
various types of texts (both written and oral), according to the linguistic and
cultural skills acquired. Are able to apply their skills to create short and
structured texts.
3) Are able to interpret
linguistic and cultural elements according to the skills acquired.
4) Are able to interact
about familiar/studied topics in an autonomous and efficient way.
5) Are able to organize
their study and to develop their learning skills.
Course Structure
Lectures; individual exercises; participated lessons aiming to promote
participation on the part of students.
Required Prerequisites
Receptive and productive skills, both written and oral, equivalent to level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR); familiarity with the main textual types and translation theories.
Attendance of Lessons
Attendance is not compulsory
Detailed Course Content
Module A:
Phonetics; morphosyntax; regular and irregular verbs
etc.
Exercises on receptive and productive skills (both written
and oral).
Module B:
Introduction
to the discourse analysis (theory and practice); translation theory and
practice.
