According to the Dublin descriptors, the Course
intends to pursue the following aims:
1) Knowledge and Understanding
The course aims to provide an overview of the literary
phenomena of German-speaking literature from the period 1750-1830 with a focus
on the use of fundamental critical, methodological and bibliographical tools.
The main objective of the course is to address and foster the development of an
individual critical capacity, performed by making conscious methodological
choices demonstrating knowledge and understanding in a field of study of a
post-secondary level, even of some cutting-edge topics in one's own field of
study, with the support of advanced textbooks;
2) Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
The course aims to develop the ability to apply acquired
knowledge in the interpretation and understanding of texts, so as to
demonstrate a professional approach to the reading and production of texts, and
to possess adequate skills both to devise and support arguments and to solve
problems in one's own field of study;
3) Autonomy of judgement
The course intends to develop the ability to collect
and interpret data useful for making autonomous judgements, including
reflection on related social, scientific or ethical issues.
4) Communication skills
The course aims to develop the ability to communicate
information, ideas, problems and solutions to specialist and non-specialist
interlocutors;
5) Learning skills
The
course intends to provide the fundamental tools and methodologies of research
in the literary field, thus fostering a common reflection on the ability to
learn and on possible study and research strategies in order to develop the
skills necessary to undertake subsequent studies with a high degree of
autonomy;
The use of any
edition of the classical texts is allowed.
