Expected Learning Outcomes
The course aims to ensure
that students acquire a critical awareness of the history of environment and climate
changes.
In particular, the course
aims to make students achieve the following specific learning objectives, according to the Dublin descriptors:
1) Knowledge and
understanding.
The students possess the
basic understanding of the historical development of the idea of environment and
climate change.
2) Applying knowledge and
understanding.
The students can address
epistemological issues and problems starting from their historical
contextualization, opening to the possibility of referring them to
contemporaneity and therefore to the understanding and resolution of problems
within their own field of study and research, and beyond.
3) Making Judgments.
The students possess the
ability to develop their own judgment on the major philosophical themes dealt
with and can autonomously interpret the reflections present in the
philosophical texts.
4) Communication skills.
The students are aware of
how to present and communicate, both orally and in writing, the contents of the
course and the critical reflections that start from it, reasoning logically and
using the specific vocabulary of the discipline in an adequate manner.
5) Learning skills.
The students can actively participate in educational dialogue, enhancing
the capacity for critical reflection on the development of their training path.
