Expected Learning Outcomes

According to the Dublin descriptors, students, at the end of the course, will demonstrate:

1) Knowledge and understanding

methodological knowledge and skills to understand the main artistic phenomena and related critical readings; skills to analyze works of art and their potential tourist attraction.

2) Applying knowledge and understanding

ability to apply the acquired knowledge in the development of tourism models.

autonomy of method and ability to compare and integrate information.

ability to communicate clearly and to use the specific language of art history.

skills to examine works of art and to read the literary sources.

Detailed Course Content

The course provide the fundamentals of art history of the 20th century, delving into movements, artists and works crucial to critical junctures and developments in contemporary art to apply them to tourism promotion methods.
