ANALYSIS OF TOURIST FLOWS
Academic Year 2026/2027 - Teacher: LUCA MARTINOExpected Learning Outcomes
Acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of statistical methods for:
· analyzing tourism flows;
· forecasting future trends in tourism flows.
Knowledge and understanding
To acquire knowledge of the main statistical methods and tools for collecting, organizing, describing, and analyzing data on tourism flows, with particular reference to their temporal and spatial dynamics.
Applying knowledge and understanding
To apply basic statistical and computational tools to the analysis of tourism data, correctly interpreting results and identifying relevant patterns and trends in tourism flows.
Communication skills
To present and communicate analytical results clearly using appropriate statistical terminology, tables, graphs, and data visualizations.
Learning skills
To independently apply the acquired knowledge to basic problems involving tourism data analysis and to develop the ability to learn new tools and analytical methods.
Course Structure
- Lectures combining theory and worked examples/exercises (also solved during class), supported by lecture slides and delivered in person.
- Oral examination, with the possibility of presenting a project at the beginning of the exam.
Attendance of Lessons
