CONTEMPORARY ITALIAN LITERATURE

The course aims to provide the general outlines of 20^th century Italian Literature, focusing on the more representative poets.

Lectures.

The study of the authors will be done through the texts that allow a direct comparison with the poetics of each writer, as well as through the main critical interpretations.

Some lessons will be focused on the relationships between literature and visual arts, with a particular attention to the 20^th century poetry.

A) The 20^th century Italian poetry.

Knowledge of the general outlines of the 20th century Italian poetry, with a particular attention to the following autors: Pascoli, D'Annunzio, Gozzano, Saba, Sbarbaro, Rebora, Campana, Ungaretti, Montale, Quasimodo, Pasolini, Sereni, Caproni, Luzi, Zanzotto.

The student will choose at least one hundred pieces extracted from an anthology available on studium@unict
