International Seminar organised by DISUM and DICAR
On January 15, 2026, an International Seminar will be held resulting from the collaboration between the Department of Humanities (DISUM) and the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture (DICAR). The initiative involves the PhD courses in Sciences for Cultural Heritage and Production and Evaluation and Mitigation of Urban and Territorial Risks. The event will host professors and researchers from Mongolia and Spain.
The seminar will take place at the Aula rettangolare (Coro di notte) within the Department of Humanities (DISUM), located at Piazza Dante n. 32, Catania.
Morning session (11:00 – 13:00):

Josè Maldonado Escribano (University of Extremadura, Spain), with two presentations on the topic of: Books, engravings and architectural treatises used to build rural villas and country houses and Rural villas in southern Spain and their relationship with the landscape. An international perspective through comparison
