TOURISM AND CULTURAL HERITAGE LAW

Expected Learning Outcomes

1) Knowledge and Understanding

By the end of the course, students will have acquired knowledge of the main legal institutions related to tourism law and the protection and enhancement of cultural heritage, with particular reference to national, European, and international regulations. Students will understand the framework of legal sources, the role of the competent institutions, and the main legal instruments for the protection, management, and enhancement of cultural heritage and tourism activities.

 

2) Ability to Apply Knowledge and Understanding

Students will be able to apply their acquired knowledge to the analysis of concrete cases involving the management of cultural heritage and tourism activities. They will be able to interpret and use the relevant legal provisions to identify solutions to legal problems related to the protection and enjoyment of cultural heritage, as well as the regulation of tourism activities.

 

3) Independent Judgment

Students will develop the ability to critically evaluate legal issues related to tourism, formulating independent judgments based on the analysis of legal sources, case law, and legal doctrine.

 

4) Communication Skills

Students will be able to clearly and appropriately present the legal content they have learned, using the technical and legal language specific to the discipline.

 

5) Learning Skills

Students will develop the ability to independently explore the topics covered in the course, critically using regulatory sources, case law, and scientific literature.

Course Structure

Teaching will be conducted in the classroom, in accordance with the University's contractual conditions and regulations, using lectures (with the aid of slides, a video projector, and a textbook).

Detailed Course Content

The course examines the fundamental principles and institutions of tourism law and the protection of cultural heritage. It will analyze the system of regulatory sources, the division of powers between the various levels of government, the regulation of cultural and landscape heritage, and the tools for protection and enhancement.

Particular attention will be paid to the relationship between cultural heritage and tourism development and the regulation of tourism activities and businesses.
