Simona Di Stefano is a PhD student in the Sciences for Cultural Heritage and Production program (40th cycle) at the Department of Humanities (DISUM) of the University of Catania. She is studying the experience in scene, focusing on the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania. This project aims to explore the potential of immersive technologies for enhancing photographic theatrical heritage.
In 2023, she began working as an exhibition art curator at the Tinni Tinni Arts Club, a cultural and artistic space dedicated to music and contemporary art.
In 2022, she founded and edited the current digital magazine madin.ilcaffeonline, an e-zine promoting contemporary artistic heritage, spanning art and fashion. Link: https://madin.ilcaffeonline.it/
As a lecturer in Contemporary Art History (ABST47) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania, she earned a master's degree in Artistic Design for Business - Fashion Design in 2022, with a thesis entitled "madin.in arte, moda. An Independent E-zine Between Art and Fashion." Previously, she earned a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design - Publishing with a thesis on the archive and life of "Roberto Capucci. Segrete armonie." During her academic career, she curated educational exhibitions such as "Dorotea Reloaded. Memories of Fashion in Sicily" at Villa Spaccaforno in Modica and participated in the organization of various national exhibitions such as "Libero Elio Romano. 1909-1996" at the Palazzo della Cultura in Catania and "Generazione anni ‘60-70. Founders and Academies of Fine Arts in Italy at the Time of Protest" at the GAM Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Catania.
