Main research areas
I am PI of the PRIN (2017) Project "Designing effective policies for Politically Correct: A rhetorical/pragmatic model of total speech situation". This activity is part of a recent general interest toward critical thinking, reasoning, and the way in which emotions and ideology affect reasoning.
I also work within the field of cognitive pragmatics. On this issue I have written the book Cognitive Pragmatics: Mindreading, Inferences, Consciousness, Marco Mazzone. De Gruyter, Berlin/Boston (2018) and the entry “Cognitive Pragmatics” in the Routledge Handbook of Cognitive Linguistics (in press).
