CONTEMPORARY ITALIAN LITERATURE

The course aims to provide a general frame of the 20^th century Italian literature, focusing on the more representative authors and texts. A specific analysis will be dedicated to the libraries and archives and of 19^th and 20^th century Italian writers.

A The 20^th century Italian literature. (4 CFU)

General outlines of the history of the 20^th century Italian Literature, focusing on the following authors: Gozzano, Tozzi, Svevo, Pirandello, Saba, Ungaretti, Montale, Quasimodo, Pavese, Vittorini, Primo Levi, Brancati, Calvino, Gadda, Tomasi di Lampedusa, Luzi, Caproni, Sereni, Pasolini, Sciascia.

B The literary archives and the libraries of the Italian writers: Verga (2 CFU).
