I’m a Full Professor of Theoretical Philosophy at the «Dipartimento di Scienze Umanistiche» at the University of Catania, where I teach Theoretical Philosophy (advanced course), Metaphysics and Philosophy of artificial minds. I have also taught Epistemology, Sociology of Culture and History of Aesthetics.

My research topic is time, in particular the relationship between temporality and metaphysics. Other themes are: the mind as a semantic device; the vitality of classical Greek and Roman thought; the ontological structures and political foundations of artificial intelligence; the animal question as a place to overcome the humanistic paradigm.
