Ivana Anna RANDAZZO
Ivana Randazzo is associate professor of Aesthetics in the Department of Humanities at the University of Catania. She has also been awarded the National Academic Qualification (ASN) for associate professor in the History of Philosophy. Her research focuses on historical-philosophical and artistic-cultural issues, with particular regard to public art, to which she has devoted essays and articles. She has delivered papers at several international conferences and coordinated interdisciplinary research projects. She authored monographs, essays published in Category A academic journals and volumes in national and international series. Among her works: Enlightenment and History in Ernst Cassirer (2005), Anthropology and Biology in Ernst Cassirer (2011), Rudolf Wittkower and Symbolic Pathways (2020), Ernst Cassirer. Considerazioni su estetica e forma (2020), A cento anni dalla Filosofia delle Forme simboliche (2024), Arte cross culturale (2024) and Global Art History as a Philosophical and Political Issue (2025). She has also translated and introduced the Italian edition of writings by Wilhelm Dilthey and Ernst Cassirer.
Her work focuses on aesthetics and the philosophy of culture, with a particular emphasis on issues related to public art, symbolic imagination, and street art. Main themes are the E. Cassirer's thought and the ways in which aesthetic experience is reshaped in public spaces.
