Keywords

Her research interests lie at the intersection of sociolinguistics and discourse studies, with a particular focus on (multimodal) critical discourse analysis and video corpora. She investigates multimodal phenomena such as genre, hybridization, remediation, intersemiosis, and resemiotisation, especially in relation to political discourse and digital communication. Her work also extends to intercultural communication, translation studies, and specialized translation, with attention to how meanings are negotiated across languages, modes, and cultures. In addition, she explores storytelling, narrative, and self-narrative as key sites for the construction of identity, and examines language learning processes, with a specific interest in informal language learning and the role of technology.
