Associate Professor of German literature [L-LIN/13]

Renata Gambino, Dr. phil., is professor for German Studies of the Department of Humanities at the University Catania.She was director of the Course for European, Extraeuropean and Oriental Languages and Literature at DISUM. She is leader of the interdepartmental research centre NEWHUMS - Neurocognitive and Humanities Studies. Project Leader of the research group NeuroHumanities Studies; contact person for the Catania unit of the Erasmus+ ENID-TEACH project on the future of digital education. She has  taught at the Palermo University, at Kore Messina and at the Cosenza University. She collaborates with the Master in Medical Humanities at the Suor Orsola Benicasa University in Naples, with the DINE LAB at the Freie Universität Berlin, with GSNA Goethe Society of North America, NEMLA Northeast Modern Language Association, Cognitive Futures in the Arts and Humanities network.She was the Italian MC of the international E-READ project funded by COST, on reading processes between digital and paper; she has taught at the University of Palermo, the KORE University of Messina, the University of Calabria. She has participated in numerous international and national conferences as a speaker and has lectured at Italian and foreign universities.She has given lectures and seminars on her main research fields at Italian as well as foreign universities.
