Lisania GIORDANO
Lisania Giordano, extraordinary professor of Ancient Christian Literature (LFIL LET 06) at the Faculty of Literature of the University of Catania where she teaches Institutions and Forms of Christian Latinity and Ancient Christian Literature (L.S. in Classic Philology).

Member of the College of lecturers of the Ph.D in “Human Sciences” of the University of Catania according to an internationalization project approved by MIUR (Ministry for Education University and Research) in November 2005.
Delegate of the Rector of the University of Catania for Communication and Public Relations from 2000 to 2006
Consultant member in the Technical Secretariat of the Ministry for Education University and Research (2005-2008) as responsible for the organization of inter-ministerial meetings for the creation of a Euro-Mediterranean Space of Higher Education and Research. As responsible on behalf of the University of Catania Lisania Giordano has organized the inter-ministerial meetings (November 2001, January 2003, January 2005) based on the definition and the diffusion of a model for the formation and research in the Mediterranean area.
Member of the IRRSAE Sicily Board of Directors from October 1998 until October 2001
Member of the governing body for the University Institute of Magistero from 1986 to 1990.
Member of the research unit for the Chair of Ancient Christian Literature at the Faculty of Literature of the University of Foggia on: The heritage of the ancient school in Latin literature of the III-IV centuries and Forms of polemic in the Christian age (III-V centuries), within the PRIN projects funded by the MIUR for the years 2004/2006 and 2008/2010 coordinated by Marcello Marin, professor of Ancient Christian Literature Literature at the Faculty of Literature of the University of Foggia.
From the 1st November 1973 to present Lisania Giordano has been developing research and teaching activities for the faculties of Education and Literature for the SSD-Fil/Let 06; L-FIL-LET/08, M-Sto 07; M/STO-06 .
Research area:
Influence of classical rhetoric contribution, scriptures and Roman juridical order in the patristic thought
Research lines:
- Esegetic questions in ancient, late ancient and medieval Christian Literature
- Role of Scripture and Roman juridical order in the esegesis of Gregorio Magno
- Classical rhetoric, biblical culture and juridical insertions in the inter-textual dynamics of ancient and late ancient sources.
