Tancredi Maria BELLA

Associate Professor of History of medieval art [L-ART/01]

Tancredi BELLA since October 2020 is associate professor of Medieval Art History (Area 10/B1, s.s.d. L-Art/01) at the Department of Humanities of the University of Catania.

From October 2017 to September 2020 he is a temporary researcher (tenure track) in History of Medieval Art at the same Department, where he also teaches History of Medieval and Modern Architecture. Since 2012 he is a member of the Center d’Études Supérieures de Civilization Médiévale (CÉSCM) of the University of Poitiers (France).

Research topics:

Tancredi Bella worked on Lombard Romanesque art and Nineteenth-century historiography; he is currently studying Norman architecture and the historical-artistic emergencies of the medieval settlements of the Holy Land in eastern Sicily.
